By downloading, installing, or using the Leonis Book Catalogue application ("Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.

2. License Grant

The Software is provided under the MIT License. You are granted a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Use the Software for any purpose
  • Study how the Software works
  • Modify the Software
  • Distribute copies of the Software
  • Distribute modified versions

3. No Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

4. Data Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Backing up your database and data
  • The accuracy and legality of data you enter
  • Compliance with applicable laws regarding book collection records
  • Securing access to your local database file

5. Third-Party Services

The Software integrates with the Open Library API to fetch book metadata. Your use of Open Library is subject to their terms of service. We are not responsible for:

  • The accuracy or completeness of data from Open Library
  • Changes to or discontinuation of the Open Library API
  • Any issues arising from API usage

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Software for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access data that does not belong to you
  • Use the Software to violate copyright or intellectual property rights
  • Overload or attempt to compromise the security of any servers

7. Modifications to Software

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Software at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Software.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the new Terms on this website. Your continued use of the Software after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Software at any time. The license grants in Section 2 will terminate if you fail to comply with these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the author resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
